London Flight Changes
After booking a flight to London thru Travelocity two days ago, I've already received notification of a schedule change
(and I haven't received the tickets yet).

Does anyone know just how much the airlines can change a schedule before it becomes a cancellation? In other words, how many hours are they they allowed to change?

Earnest

The sad answer Earnest is that the airline can jerk you around all they want with schedule changes and you have no recourse unless you are on a fully refundable ticket. That is -- they can change your flight time as many times as they want and you're still stuck with it.

Janis is right that most cancellations happen on the day of the actual flight, but it is ALWAYS a good idea to keep checking with the airline -- because it's unlikely that they will call you.

Also a good idea to check several days before your return flight from Europe, especially since there can be schedule changes or flight cancellations. Obviously, the air line normally hasn't your european phone number, IF they actually try to contact you.
Be pro-active to avoid unpleasant surprises!
