Lazy Normandy loop: Is it enough?

Coordinating a trip to France in mid-May with my old college roommate and need your help again. Want to see some wonderful sights but still leave plenty of room for serendipity (she's a poet; I'm an artist).
After painfully narrowing things down, this is what we have:

DAY 1: Chateau de la Rapee, near Gisors,
(1 hr from CDG) for jetlag recuperation
DAYS 2-4: B&B in Gefosse, NW of Bayeux
DAYS 5-7: B&B in St. Pierre de Plesguen, E of Dinan
DAY 8: Drop car in Rennes and take train to Paris. (Or drive to Chartre?)
DAYS 8-10: Paris--Hotel les Jardins du Luxembourg

Of course, we'll be using the B&Bs as our home bases to explore the countrside. Any little "finds" in this area to add to the obvious tourist sites? Any comments on the itinerary greatly appreciated!

May I ask how you came up with the names of these particular B&B's you list? Is there a good website or any book or directory that a person can get?
Charlene,
We used Karen Brown's "FRANCE Charming Bed & Breakfasts"(www.karenbrown.com). My friend had used one of her guidebooks on a trip to England and was delighted. We did have a little trouble getting in with less than two months notice, though.
