KLM?

Would someone from the Netherlands (or elsewhere, for that matter) tell me the meaning of the "KLM", found in both the airline and the delftware?<BR><BR>Many thanks,<BR><BR>GK

Good question; I've always wondered that too. <BR><BR>I don't know what "Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij" means, but that's what the website below says KLM stand for.<BR><BR>http://www.plexoft.com/SBF/K01.html#KLM

Koninklijke = Royal<BR>Luchtvaart = Airline<BR>Maatschappij = Type of Herring (no, I'm kidding, it really means Company)<BR><BR>More or less.

Koninklijke Luchtvaartmaatschappij indeed means Royal Airline Company.
