Check my web page http://home.pacbell.net/rimerson/ My wife put up the places we stayed. For your day two I'd suggest the GreenMount house in Dingle. Beautiful view, good price, beautiful room and a short walk to the center of town. I'll be putting the results of our trip up this weekend.
Rob

In April, we drove from Limerick to Cork, and somewhere before or after the Rock of Cashel (which was gorgeous) we stopped at the Mitchellstown caves. Pretty cool for an hour or two on the way. Maybe Cathy Lynch can tell you where it is exactly. I certainly can't remember which road we were on, so I'm not sure if it would be the same route.

Jenn, How ironic...Me and two friends are also going to Ireland in mid-September and we were wondering the SAME THING! We met a woman who has been to Ireland 9 times and she gave us some wonderful suggestions and an awesome itinerary. We too are landing in Shannon airport and will spend 10 days in the South. Not enough room to give you the whole scoop on this forum. Feel free to e-mail me at clarketkd @ AOL.com and I can tell you everything I know from this wonderful woman who helped us.

Jean,
As I said way back your plan looks fine to me, especially for Sept. On your way back to Dublin from Waterford you should consider stopping in Kilkenny for lunch and a visit to the Castle, you could also check out the Dunmore Caves outside the city. The caves mentioned by Stacey are marked any map. They are between Mitchelstown and Cahir (route N8) or the route R668 between Cahir and Clogheen.

Hope you have a nice time

Cathy
