I have a couple of days in Nice and am looking for some cool things to do. All responses are appreciated

I"m not sure what you're interested in exactly, but here are some things we enjoyed:

1. going to the beach -- we went to a beach club in Nice (rocky) and one in Juan les Pins (sandy). expensive, but worth the splurge, i believe.

2. walking around the old town -- very charming, more like Italy than France, excellent pizza. every morning they have a great farmers market--can't remember what it's called!!

3. visiting Eze -- we had a lovely breakfast at the terrace of Chateau Eza in this beautiful village

4. Visiting St. Paul de Vence -- got there in the very late afternoon and most shops were closed, but we had a nice dinner and it was just gorgeous.

we could have stayed longer, as we felt there was SO much to do and so much that we missed.

hope this helps, and have a fun trip!

In addition to dina's suggestions, take a city bus to the suburb of Cimiez. See the church, the park, the views of Nice. The Matisse and Chagall museums are also there, if that interests you.

Have a drink at the cafe across from the cathedral.

If you're there on Monday morning, do the antiques market.

To find what I did, go to http://www.iol.ie/~draoi/ (you need to copy and paste the url) and follow the Nice link.

The rail trip was very special.

Take a bus to St. Jean Cap de Ferrat, and walk along the promenade that hugs the sea. Then have lunch (bowls of perfect mussels!!!)at one of the incredible seafood restaurants in town, like LE SLOOP.

Take the train to Antibes ( about 20 min.), and have lunch at one of the restaurants in the picturesque harbor. Visit the Picasso Museum.

In Nice, climb the rock known as LE CHATEAU, at the edge of Old Nice. The views of Nice are very beautiful from the top, and on weekends it's crowded with locals playing bocce, and soccer.

If you do go to St. Jean Cap Ferrat, consider a visit to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. A sumptuous home and garden overlooking the sea.

The Picasso Museum in Antibes has been closed for a while for renovations. I don't think it is opening any time soon.

Cimbrone, yes, that is a beautiful place!
