Fluffy - Their website is www.locandaorseolo.com, but there is a much better photo gallery with their listing on veniceby.com. Also, check out their reviews on tripadvisor.com - nothing but the best by all who have posted.

Just an example of their hospitality - before our arrival I emailed asking for help with dinner reservations. Barbara not only made the reservations and emailed confirmation to me, but when we checked in there was a lovely welcome note from her on the desk in our room that included maps to each restaurant. I could go on and on and on.

Andre, my sister is married, sorry.
I do have to say " I told her so" about the suit case.I told her you're going to rue the day you brought Birtha as we called her.
Rookie thanks for the Venice hotel info. it sounds lovely just the place to recommend to my guests, I will check it out on veniceby.com
Thanks again all

fluffy, re your sister's suitcase, I used to travel with a business colleague who had a hard-sided suitcase we called "The Safe". We would lock our valuables in it when we left our hotel room and we knew they would remain safe because no one (except maybe Aaahnold) could lift the damn thing.

I am glad to see that trip reports like this one and some others on the board right now are well received these days.

In the days before registration the Critical One's were very harsh with reports, attacking them without mercy.

I enjoyed your report, can't wait for the wedding report!

Fluffy, great trip report! I am planning my daughter's wedding in Positano, but have to plan it from the US. You were very wise to go to Venice! Our planning has been very difficult even though we hired a local wedding planner. She is getting married next June. I can't wait to hear the honeymoon report!!!! Take care, WT

Thanks fluffy,

I always got a kick out of your advice to others, so this trip report was a doozy! A lot of fun yet informative at the same time. Good stuff!

Best wishes on your upcoming wedding, which sounds like it'll be fabulous!

Hi Fluffy, I think you have convinced me to stay at the Mamela! (we were choosing between this, the Caesar Augustus and Minerva). Can you advise me on which room you would go for? Do you know what the 190 euro (no sea view) rooms are like, what rooms would you recommend?
