How to get

Hi. I would like to check how to fly in to Brussels via Paris. It seems that there are no domestic flights?? Is taking the TGV the only option to get into Brussels downtown? What is the cheapest way to get from the International Airport to the train station and how long would it take? Thks so much! totally lost..

I'm confused. No dometic flights where? France? Belgium?

There most certainly are flights between Paris and Brussels, but given their proximity they all connect somewhere.

You can travel by train direct from the airport to Brussels Midi but I don't THINK you can take a TGV. I stand to be correted.

Whis International airport do you mean? Brussels? If so, the station is in the same building as the airport. It's 5 minutes walk through the concourse

I'm lost and confused by the question as well. If you want to go from Paris to Brussels, there are trains every half hour with a journey time of one hour 25 minutes. Trains from Brussels airport to the Central station run about every 15 minutes and take about 20 minutes.

Hi H,

I checked www.whichbudget.com. No cheap flights between Paris and Brussels.

Air France will fly you via Lyon. Takes 5 hr. Costs $1000.

As noted, it takes 1:25 hr from Paris Nord to the center of Brussels by THALYS for about 70E ea way.

There are no flights between Brussels and Paris direct. If you fly into Paris CDG you can transfer to the TGV and take that to Brussels. The TGV station is IN the airport terminal 2. No need to transfer to downtown Paris. Its an 1h15m train ride. I know American does code sharing with the SNCF so you might could get it all for one price.

Hi, I should be clearer with my question - sorry abt the confustion. Yes, Im flying into Paris CDG and was told that I have to lug my stuff all the way to downtown paris to catch the train into Brussels which turn out to be false

U guys re really so helpful - I have been to the Thayls website : can you pls advise which train destination in Beglium should I alight - Brussels Midi or Central without the need to transfer - seeking the most direct route. Will just take cab from the station to the hotel in town.

In fact, due to a last min change, I have to be in Brussels on Friday, else the intended plan is to stay in Paris for the weekend then go into Brussels. Now, I have to buy a single train to Belgium, then a return ticket to/fro Paris/Brussels again.. any suggestions or website that you can suggest for a 1 day trip in Paris? - Louvre and the Effiel is a must?

Once again, thks!
