Granada, Sevilla from Barcelona -Bus, Train or fly - any help appreciated

Hi experienced fodorites,

We (family of 5) will be in Barcelona from 12th of June. Plan to stay there for 5 to 6 days (is it too much time in BCN) -- then I would like to go to Granada ( 2 to 3 days), possibly Cordoba and Sevilla (somewhere ther fit in Ronda or any beautiful small city). Is it a good idea (makes sense timewise and financially??) to fly from BCN to Granada and then rent a car for 6 days to go to Cordoba and sevills/ronda .. or should we go by train/bus? Should I move the days (spend more days at some place and less at another). I have till June 24th when I am planning to fly to Tenerife from Sevilla (??). I can change the order of cities but after reading many posts, it seems to make much sense (though I can be wrong). Any advice/suggestions. I looked Vueling and it may cost $75 for one way BCN - Granada flight but I do not know (can't find out) if they will let us check-in any free luggage or not.

Thanks in advance ..

Spaniar and Vueling fly BCN- Granada.
Bus or train would not be my choice.
No idea if there is extra charge for luggage ( most likely - discount airlines)
you might consider:
5 days in Barcelona ( jet-lag, might take a day trip)
2 days Granada
2 days Ronda ,Cordoba ( if you are driving)
3 days Seville ( don't need a car)
Since you are flying from Seville, makes sense to end there.

danon -- that is wondeful to know that there is a night train (Will check Renfe). Hopefully luggage should not be a problem in train. yes, Vueling charges 11 euros per checked luggage if it is in the limit.
I think it makes more sense to drive when we reach Granada -- what do you think?

I have not driven Granada - Seville , many here have
if they wished to see the villages .
There is a bus (and a train) between Granada and Seville( 3 hours).

fly Bcn to Granada for two nights, no need to rent a car but if you must do it on the way out of Granada, Ronda for one night and Seville for 4 with a daytrip to Cordoba.

Thanks danon and Egbert. I am leaning towards taking the train (overnight) from BCN to Granada. Then stay in Granada for 2 nights. It might be good to rent the car (if we end up doing that) when we are leaving Granada. I have read that Bus is also one option, so will research some more.

Thanks
