Google is the best company ever. Google earth has been very important in helping to identify houses destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. People in other regions of the country have used googleearth to figure out if their house was destroyed.
also, gmail, google's e-mail, is far superior to any other web-based e-mail. excellent search feature and extremely large storage.
just started using google talk and talk to my husband while we're at work periodically throughout the day.
no wonder google is at over $500/share.

I must be absolutely computer-illiterate
I opened Google, searched for GoogleEarth, and it took me to EarthGoogle, is this right?
There I got offers of all kinds of downloads... but how can I look up my address? I didn't see a type-in window

Hello Worktowander,
The Mac version is now not available to use but they are developing. You can check it out from this website. If it done, it will available from here.

Contain the enthusiasm!! I tried to look at my house, but our region is :not available for access" yet. No, I don't live in Siberia or Pyongyang. I live in Western Michigan. Must be because it's west of the Hudson river, outside the beltway, and not in CA.

A couple of weeks ago my mom flew up to NJ. After I'd come home from dropping her off, I launched Google Earth and went to this website where you can do live real-time flight tracking! It was really cool to watch the progress of the flight, vary the angles, etc. I suggested she do that when my sister and I head off to Paris on September, but somehow I don't think she will (she's not too comfortable using computers). Still...it is neat to track a loved ones flight to make sure they make it to their final destination ok.
