Go-Today.com

I'm looking at the travel packages that Go-Today.com offers. Can anyone share their experiences in doing business with this site? Thanks.

donna--booked w. G.T. last Feb. after extensive search of numerous booking sites (e.g. orbitz, expedia, cheap tickets, qixo, priceline, etc. etc.) their rates for air/hotel packages for Paris were the best i found. we had numerous communications w. G.T. reps, and they were prompt, courteous and helpful in every instance. the accomodations in Paris were excellent, and in a superb location. all the promised "extras" (river cruise, airport shuttle, etc.) came off without a hitch. nothing but rave reviews for G.T. if you have specific questions, i'll try to respond.

Used Go-Today in Feb 02 for week long trip to London. It was excellent-everything it claimed to be or to do. Plan to take another trip with them. Think you will be well pleased.

I used Go-Today a few years ago for the air/drive Great Britain. The prices were the best we could find and everything was handled smoothly and without any problems. I then booked an air/hotel London package and found my new favorite hotel, The Burns.

If you pick an air/drive package, be sure to check where you pick the car up. They had us picking up at Marble Arch and we wanted pickup at Heathrow rather than drive from the city. Even though their Web site states "no changes," I called and they changed it immediately and courtously with no charge.

Hi, Donna, I've gone on 3 trips with go-today and am booked on my 4th. They are the cheapest-and I look. They're efficient, no glitches. I think they're great. Kerry

I checked a trip to Ireland on go-today.com yesterday, because all of the fares I was finding were very high. Even still, the go-today final price also seemed high. So I did a quick check on air fares and car rental, and discovered that at worst, I would beat gotoday.com's price by $500 (for two people total--not each) and at best, I could beat it by $800. Same dates, same class rental car, same items included in car price, leaving from Washington, DC.

I've checked it out before, as I travel to Ireland often, but have never come close to beating what I can get on my own.

Maybe it's good for other countries, but for Ireland, it's a dog.

Donna--Ann raises a subtle but important point. i, too, checked air/CAR rates for G.T. and other package providers, and G.T. was NOT the least expensive. but for air/HOTEL packages, G.T. had the best offers. i glean from what other posters have written, that they, too, are talking about air/HOTEL packages from G.T.
bottom line: shop carefully!

What I found is that the "little extras" are what drive up the go-today prices. They look good at first glance, but then there are so many add-ons. To leave from Washington costs anywhere from $70-$100 extra per person! Only departures from Boston and NYC don't have an extra cost. Weekends cost more, both ways, then they add on other fees. At least when I'm looking at an airline or car rental site, they give me the full, all-inclusive price.

Donna--G.T.'s "little extras", as Ann calls them, are spelled out in detail, all the way down to the cost of delivering your tix (you have several choices of how you want them delivered).
just click the "price it" button, and every cost is shown, together w. a bottom line called the "Grand Total". it was this G. Total (i.e. EVERYTHING included) that i was referring to in my earlier posts re. G. T. good shopping!
