Getting Ready To Go. . .
Last night, I bought my AA ticket to Gatwick, I've reserved hotel rooms and will be buying a BritRail pass next week! Please be happy for me -- finally going back to Europe (in September). I read Fodors constantly just to be near others who love travel. This trip is beginning to feel very real.

YEAH, Texas!!! Have a wonderful trip! Tell me where you're going--just to London? How long? Been before? That's what this board is REALLY about--giving us a chance to cheer each other on and appreciate your enthusiasm (with a lot of tips thrown in

Thanks, Chicago and Mel. I'm going to spend two weeks in Wales -- one in Cardiff and one in Llandudno and then one week in Swindon, England. I'll be taking the train to nearby towns that I can reach in an hour or two and then go back to my hotel in the evening.

This will be my 6th trip in 12 years -- always to the UK. I've made up my mind though, the next trip will be to Germany. I'm an older woman, traveling solo, and I've always been too chicken to go to non-English speaking countries. After reading so many posts of women in my age category traveling everywhere -- I'm going too! The Germany trip will have to be well thought out however.

Thanks for letting me vent.
