I don't know about anyone else here, but I cannot remember the exact words (quoted) that people have said to me during my travels adventures. Mina's story is entertaining to read and she is a good writer, but I wonder how much of her writng is fact or fiction.

You can recall conversations in this kind of detail if you keep a journal while you're traveling. I wrote in mine at least twice a day.<BR><BR>Also, for anyone who doesn't believe these sorts of things can happen, well, it's very possible you will never experience them. I think you need to be open to the possibilities so you're ready to notice opportunities and grab them whenever you can.

Hi xxx:<BR><BR>I find it very funny that you ask that question, because my own dear cousin asked me once if I made some stuff up because she simply could not believe some of the things that happened to me.<BR><BR>It's fair to say that the quotes are not verbatim, but they are close. I don't write these stories after I come back...I actually carry a laptop with me when I travel, and the stories are written a day, at the most two, after the fact. <BR><BR>I have no reason to make any stories up. The stories I posted were not written for this forum...they were written for me, so I coule remember the joys and pains of my vacation. It's only icing on the cake that a few fodorites got any enjoyment out of it.<BR>

Now why would Fodor's delete Mina's stuff while that uptight, egomaniacal, self-righteous, tobacco-smoke-spewing Elvira slams anyone she pleases and gets away with it? Fodor's, you've got some 'splainin to do!
