Florence to San G

Is there a direct bus to San G from Florence? If so how long does it take and how often do they run?

I was in Florence this past week and traveled by local train to Pisa and EuroStar to Venice both from Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence. I traveled through a near by bus station to Siena as well. The web site for the train station is http://www.trenitalia.com/home/en/index.html. I found it very easy to go to the ticket counter at the train station and just purchase my tickets for later that week and I could still see what trains/buses were available. The bus tickets to Siena had to be purchased around the corner at another station.
You can contact SITA, Via Santa Caterina di Siena 15, tel: 055 483651 for trains to Poggibonsi station or TRA-IN bus tel 0577 5204245. Hope this helps.

Hi colleen,

I don't think so.

You can train to Poggibonsi and bus to San G, or take the bus to Siena and bus to San G.

You can bus from Florence to San G with a change in Poggibonsi. There are several stops in Poggibonsi before you need to get off & make the change to a bus across the street. Just tell the driver when you get on in Florence & he'll let you know which stop to get off at.

Thanks all-I didn't think so. How long a trip is it if you time the connections right?

The trip is just over an hour. You only buy 1 bus ticket to San Gim, which includes the change in Poggibonsi.
