Florence - Anyone stayed at Medici, Alessandra, Aldini?

A friend and I will be in Florence on June 9 for 5 nights. A promise of an apartment has fallen through and time is getting short. I would appreciate any info anyone might have on these hotels.

Thanks for your help!

Stayed at the Medici (i'm guessing it is the same one) in March 98. On a main thoroughfare, withing walking distance of the train station and the Duomo. I loved it!! It is an old Medici Palace (isn't everything in Florence. You entered off of the main street and then climbed stairs to the lobby. Our room was in the back of the hotel looking over rooftop gardens, therefore, there was absolutely no street noise. Breakfast was in a gorgeous dining room on the main floor. The room was small but very clean. i loved roaming around the hotel, because you never knew what you were going to find around the next turn. Balconies, great rooms, etc. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. No hairdryers in the bathrooms, but when I asked if they had one I could borrow, they more than obliged.
