Family lodging suggestions for Lisbon in early June
We will be in Lisbon for two nights (Sunday, Monday) in early June. We have not been to Lisbon in the past . Will fly in from Barcelona and out to London. We are a budget-minded couple traveling with two of our sons, 11 and 13. We are avid campers and backpackers, but won't have equipment on this trip. We prefer to stay in lodgings on this journey.
We need a clean place to sleep and bathe. Breakfast would be great, but not required. Have stayed in hostels from Greece to Northern Europe, but not in Portugal. Since our time is limited, location and transportation is more important than usual.
Also, if there is a must-see for our little group, please share.
Thanks!

That only equates to about €60/night at the current exchange rate. Lisbon accommodations are not cheap. You're looking at a hostel for the most part, probably with a shared bathroom like at Refuge Hostel in the historic area of Marquês de Pombal, or the Wallis Guest House in the same area. Most of these places do not have enough reviews to say if they are a good option or not.

you might take a shot at VIP Hotel Eden, restored old movie theater, smack on Praca dos Restauradores, near most everything you'll want to see in Lisbon...close to the Rossio RR station, just a half block to the Bairro Alto Elevador Santa Justa. You may be over the budget of 60 euros, but inquire anyway. Rooftop pool with great views...large rooms and bathrooms. We found it to be perfect for our needs.
Their breakfasts are ripoffs, but next door there is the little Olympia cafe with excellent, low cost breakfast menus.
Enjoy your stay in Lisbon.
