Exchange ZAR in Turkey
Hi does anyone know if it would be best for us to exchange money in South Africa before we visit Turkey as I have read some banks in Turkey charge very high fees at ATM macines?
Would it be higher than SA banks or exchange Co's?

I withdrew money from ATMs in Istanbul - 3 different ones, and the "fee" is okay, nothing high. I think the withdrawing fee is decided by your bank and not the ATM bank, no? Try to withdraw in central ATMs of big Turkish banks (there's one that linked to BNP Paribas).

What fee is this? Check your card/bank and it should tell you what fee it charges for foreign exchange transactions. Then comparison shop for better deals if another bank charges less. No clue what the regulations and offerings are like in RSA. In the US, there are truckloads of options.
