Electric outlets

Hi,

I am sure this has been discussed many times but I did not have luck searching.

Will I need an adapter for electrical U.S. made appliances such as curling iron, rechargable shaver, recharable batteries for digital camera while in southern Germany?

Thanks

You will need a plug adaptor.

And you might need a voltage converter/transformer depending on the individual appliance--some are dual voltage, some are not. It should say on the appliance label somewhere.

If you happen to be in Munich, maybe visit Mr. Ohm's grave. It's within walking distance from downtown.

Correct, it's the guy who resisted and didn't let any currents pass. So if you happen to be in Munich pay tribute and take a photo of his grave. One of the few people who really did change the world.

You really do not know about the conspiracy between Mr. Volt, Mr. Ampère and Mr.Ohm?

No, the plot was to cause frustration to foreign tourists. Mr. Volta said "Ha, no way, your "contraption" is never going to work in Europe, you're to weak a person", while Mr Ampere claimed "only if you speed up and double the flow". Mr Ohm however said,: "Do whatever you want, you need thicker and shorter wires to make it work"
So together they gave you hope, just to make you fail later . What an evil plan.

Well, I thought the idea had great potential. But I'm not really current.

It had potential, but now its alternating, I think it may be hitting a vaccuum. My leg is twitching like Galvani's frog....must leap off for a mo.
