Going to Europe in May. Renting a motor home to travel from Germany to Italy and back. Wondering about a converter for hair dryer and etc. I am assuming the plug in's would be the same as in a hotel. Thanks for any help

Hi K,

You can buy an inexpensive dual-voltage hair dryer and not have to bother with converers.

Probably, but I would check with the RV agency.

RVs use same Continental European plugs - but you only get 230V when the RV is hooked up to exterior power supply (i.e. at a campground). Independent from that you only get 12V (like from your car's cigarette lighter).

Ditto on what ira said. Get a cheap dual-voltage hairdryer, or get one in Germany in an electronic goods store for under €10.

Plus: Tell your rental company in advance where you plan to go. If your RV got natural gas, you may need adaptors for Italy or Austria. The rental company will know this, and will supply adaptors if necessary.

Don't forget your international driver's permit for Italy either!
