Driving time Nice-Lucerne?
Was hoping someone could give me some advice for our upcoming trip in May.
We are catching a train from Paris to Nice and then we were hoping to hire a car there and drive to Lucerne. Does anyone know how long this would take and if the Nice-Lucerne leg is relatively easy? We have a two year old that will be with us so we thought a car might be easier than a train.
Also is there a good place to stop on the way for a rest or overnight that is mostly English speaking?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

We've driven Lucerne - Nice roundtrip a couple of times when our kids were under 4 and under 2, We didn't have any problem at all. The only annoying part is the freeway along the italian western riviera (Riviera di Ponente) has lots of tunnel. It got a bit tiring going through multiple dark unlit short tunnels during daylight especially when we were trying to drive fast.
