As would calling actually unless one was using a land line. Are you a UK resident, or maybe traveling from a red zone country? That might make a difference why you were called so much.

Nobody called me, texted me, or emailed me either.

I don’t think it has anything to do with a trustworthy face. But both Janis and I were not isolated very long, so many they have James Bond super systems that know we got our negative results. Maybe.

The test for leaving is cumbersome. The test centers are a bit overwhelmed I think. I got my antigen test to return to the US today but there was a guy in front of me who had to take a rapid PCR yesterday and did not get his results. So he missed his flight today. He paid 400 quid! I’m so thankful the US allows antigen tests, it’s just too stressful worrying about the PCR results coming in on time.

given the resources they are trying to throw at it to hit 1 million jabs a day (yesterday <500,000) it is fair to say they are going to be very focused elsewhere for the next 3 weeks.

Frustrating yes, but given we have just had the first death from Omicron here it could be worse ;-)
