Cotswold Help Needed!

We are visiting the Cotswolds for two 1/2 days at the end of a long trip. Staying in Moreton-In-Marsh. Was wanting some input about good places to eat there and towns nearby. Looking for prices in lunch L10 to 20pp and dinners L 20 to 30pp.

Also, we will not have a car, so I was trying to plan bus schedules. Noticed a number of companies operate buses there--can you get a pass to ride any of them for a day or longer?

Got the websites many of you suggested for the bus schedules. Is this idea too much?--Leave Moreton-In-Marsh 9:15 area to Bourton-On-The-Water. Stay for a couple of hours then bus (or walk) up to Slaughters, stay until 4:00ish and go to Stow for dinner and look around. Then take a taxi back to Moreton.

Thanks for your help, and any suggestions you could provide.

Last year I had a decent meal at the Black Bear pub on the main street.

Definitely add my vote for the Black Bear. Have had lots of good meals there. I believe the owner is a famous footballer - flanneruk might know - and they have a resident ghost.

We've never travelled by bus in the area so can't help with that question, but when you decide on the villages you are going to visit, I can give you some eating suggestions.

rickmav. The owner is Jim Steele, a former football player. He is really into golf these days. Quite the gentleman.

The Black Bear seems popular--will definately give it a try. We will be in Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Upper & Lower Slaughter, and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Any ideas, and eating places would be appreciated. Again, lunch L10 to 20 and Dinner L20 to 30 if possible.

If anyone has used the bus system please let me know how hard it is to get around. Thanks again.
