where to stay in St Paul Venue? l have been recommended Les Orangieres but l can't find a website and therefore its difficult to book. We want somewhere small but pleasant and clean 2-3* would be good.

I stayed at Hotel les Orangers a few years ago. Had a nice stay, but also haven't been able to find much on the web since...have been curious if the place is still operating. Here is a phone #: 4-9332-8095 If you call and find anything out, I'd love to know.

In St. Paul de Vence the hotel you are probably looking for is "Les Orangers". It is ranked 12th out of 14 in town by "Trip Advisor" if that means anything to you. Below is a website. I know nothing about this or any hotel in St. Paul de Vence. I visit the village several times a year but I always go by train and bus or just bus from Nice. By bus it is only about 40 minutes and costs 1.30 euros to get there. You could get a little bored there if you stay more than one night even though it is a very nice little village.

We love Le Hameau, a charming small inn just down the road from St-Paul.

l have been given this link for Hotel Oranges and am thrilled to FINALLY be able to see this beautiful little hotel. It seems to me to be just what we are after and thanks to all for their input. It is through Fodors and Trip Advisor that l have finally tracked it down.

I do not stayed in Les Orangers. I have, however, booked a very interesting-seeming accomodation called Orion Bed and Breakfast for May.

We will be staying in one of the four "treehouses." www.orionbb.com

Sorry Ptolly, I found the hotel website you wanted and then I accidentally sent you the wrong one. Glad you found it anyway. Have a nice trip. If you like art you will love St. Paul De Vence.

I meant to say Larry - thank you for the wrong web link - we actually liked that hotel too - now we have the indecisiion of whether we want the trappings of the larger hotel sans pool or the smaller, less sophisticated arrangement??? Big decisions!
