Coffe and creamer
this may sound crazy but can I bring personal coffee and powdered creamer into Ireland from US and then into Belguim? Not a lot since I'll probaby buy more in Brussels but wanting to have coffee in Ireland (in my pjs!) I know they have a limit on cigarettes, which surprised me, so I don't want to bring in something that's not allowed.

McNeill - Give it a try. The only thing I heard about coffee is that drug dealers use it's strong smell to disguise the drugs in transit.
Unfortunately for them sniffer dogs are trained to smell out the coffee, so maybe if you think you can handle being sniffed at mercilessly??

It's almost certain that your hotel or B&B will have coffee-making facilities in the room.
If not, Ireland has shops and even them thar new-fangled supermarket things. There's no need to import your own coffee or creamer.

McNeill, I'll go with your opening remark: yes, it sounds crazy.
You want good coffee? We have it. You want bad coffee? We have that, too. Powdered creamer? To my great regret, we also have that.
Of course we have a limit on cigarettes (doesn't everybody?). It's a tax thing.

95% of B&Bs and almost as many hotels have tea/coffee/creamer in the room so you can have it naked, let alone in pj's, if you want.
Yes - you can take your own - but why on earth would you want to?

I honestly understand why you want to bring your own. Sometimes when you are visiting it's not that easy to find markets or grocery stores, especially in tourist areas. Sure, I've run into them, but usually by accident, and if you don't have a car, you usually have to schlep your purchases around with you all day until you return to your hotel. Sometimes it's just easier to bring it. Doesn't mean you won't enjoy coffee out, it's just that you'll have some handy when you need it. Just check it thru, and it should be fine.
