Can anyone help with finding a source in the US (online or otherwise) for Clark's shoes, the English brand? I have a style number, need to find a vendor. Thank you!

They may be able to help at larger department stores. I bought a pair of clarks sandles last week and they had a large selection of clarks shoes. Where do you live? I am in Connecticut and they are available at Filenes and Lord and Taylor (not sure if they have websites, thought they probably do)

I live in Oklahoma and we have them at several department stores. Dillards has a large assortment of styles.

Just bought my 3rd (or is it 4th) pair of Clarks. I got these at www.onlineshoes.com, because they are having a sale at the moment. There are many online shoe stores which carry Clarks, but not all have every style and/or color.

What styles are good for walking (Clarks)?

Clarks might be an English brand but if you look closely at the labels within their shoes you will find that most of their shoes are made in China. Sadly, that is true of most shoes these days. Still possible to find a few made in Italy and Brazil, but except for the high lines almost all are made in China, most likely by slave or child labor. So you might as well forget shopping by brand and shop by price - more than likely those Clarks are made on the same factory floor as those $19.99 beauties from Wal-Mart, and with the same cheap materials and low quality. The first thing I check on any shoes is the origin label, and if China they go back on the shelf.

Clark's are indeed an English Brand. The do still produce some shoes in England. They are based at Street (yes, this is the name of the town) in Somerset where there is a factory shop where you can get good deals. Street is not far from Glastonbury.

Hooty: <BR>Clarks do many styles in extra-wide fitting, I think even their standard width is a wee bit wider.They are also sturdier & much more comfy than usual shoes. <BR>They are slightly more expensive , but wear well. <BR>Those sold in the UK seem mostly to be made in Portugal.They are sold in many outlets, but they also have their own "Clark's" shops here. <BR>I have wide feet & a high instep, (sprinter's feet!) also I am 6 feet & so need sturdy shoes.I buy mostly Clark's.

They are just so comfortable, like walking on air. I will never wear anything else for a trip ever again, you can walk all day and all night and no aches and pains. They're just the best!

In the Washington DC area there is a store called DSW Shoes. They may have locations elsewhere.
