cheap airline tickets for flying in italy

Where do you find the best airline tickets for flying in italy?

I am looking for tickets from Postiano to either Milan or Turin. Most likely, I will leave from Naples Airport.

Alitalia is SO expensive and so far the best price I found was on flyairone.it. I've also checked volareweb.com, orbitz and priceline.

Any suggestions where I can find cheaper tickets for flying in Itlay?

www.whichbudget.com lists 3 low-cost airlines that fly NAP-LIN, one NAP-MXP and one NAP-BGY.

Thanks - I went to whichbudget.com and saw for Naples - Milan, Volare Web had cheap tickets but then they add double the cost for taxes so it was still higher. Same thing with easyjet- they want a crazy amount of money just to charge the cost to your credit or debit card!

Meridiana looks like a great airline, however, for some reason on their web site, they do not have flights in AUGUST. Maybe they all take vacation?? Very strange......

Aplieagles doesn't even fly to Milan from Naples even though on the which budget web site, they say they do. Oh well.....

So far, I found the best price with AirOne but I am still looking forward to hearing suggestions!

Many thanks in advance!

Is the train cheaper? Do you have the time to train it?

Actually the train was almost the same price, a few euros cheaper but a 10 hr ride! I'd rather pay a few more euros and be there in 2 hours on a plane......

Does anyone know why Meridiana does not fly in August from Naples???

This is just speculation, but Meridiana originally primarily served routes to and from Sardinia. They definitely have lots of Sardinia flights in August, which is super-high season for those routes. So maybe they suspend some of their all-mainland routes for that time in order to have lots of equipment for flights to the resort areas. As I said, just speculation.

As a corollary to what I just posted, intra-Italian routes probably have a low ridership in August because all of the Italian businesspersons who would otherwise be flying them are on vacation.
