CDG to Dijon
You all have been so helpful in the past, I hope you can help me. We have booked a barge trip that leaves from Dijon. We will be arriving at Charles DeGaulle. What are our best options for getting to Dijon at a reasonable hour. We arrive in Paris in the morning.Thank you

It´s impossible to answer specific transportation questions without dates and times.
Generally the train takes from 4 to 5+ hours. I should not book a train any sooner than 3-4 hours after your scheduled arrival. The sooner you book, the cheaper will be your tickets:

I checked a few schedules, and there is no TGV directly to Dijon from CDG on the date I checked (4/28).
Best bet is either:
- Taxi (or other transportation) to the Lyon station in Paris & take the TGV from there. Visit the beautiful Train Bleu restaurant while at the train station in Paris.
- Take the 11:00 TGV from CDG to Lyon (city - not the station in Paris) Pt Dieu station, getting in at 1:03. Then backtrack a bit and take the TGV from Lyon to Dijon - departing at 2:00 & arriving in Dijon at 3:40. There may be later schedules that work.

There is usually a 19h41 CDG departure that arrives Dijon 21h39 but this is the only direct train. Otherwise the easiest might be to take the AF bus directly to Gare de Lyon from where there are numerous departures to Dijon taking from 1+40 to 3 hours en route.
Still, air travel has a lot of unknowns and I should not recommend any Gare de Lyon departure earlier than 4 hours after your scheduled CDG arrival time.

Thank you all for the all the suggestions. Our Barge trip departs on the 25 of Septemeber. We had planned to spend 3 nights in Paris after the barge. Maybe we should do it the other way around, spend three days in Paris and then go to Dijon. It might be less hectic. Any further thoughts? Again many thanks
