Can you get from Naphlion to the islands such as Spetses or Hydra?
Can you get from Naphlion to the islands such as Spetses or Hydra? Can you go the opposite way? From Spetses to Naphlion? We don't want to have to go back to Athens to get to Naphlion. Any ideas?

No ferries from Nafplion, although there used to be a boat excursion that visited both islands. Too early to know if there will be one this summer.
Will you have a car? You have the choice of car or bus to go south to the ports of Ermioni &/or Porto Heli for short crossings to Spetses & Hydra.

I once travelled from Spetses to Nafplio. There is a car ferry from Spetses to Kosta, connecting with a bus to Kranidi, then a scenic bus journey via ancient Epidavros to Nafplio.
Pegasus Cruises (www.pegasus-cruises.gr) advertise excursions from Tolo and Nafplio to Spetses and other places.

Porto Heli is on the road to Kosta, about 8 km from Kranidi. It's the same bus as the one to Kosta.

There is also a bus from Nafplio to Galatas which is linked to Poros by frequent ferries. From Poros, there are ferries to the other Argocaronic islands.
