I almost agree, even if I have not seen all of the cities of Europe. Much of Brussels is incredibly ugly (lots of war damage and lots of construction in the 60s, 70s and 80s with absolutely no consideration for aesthetics) but there are some fabulously beautiful nuggets like the Grand-Place and I will even dare to say the Atomium. But I keep returning to Brussels because the people are so adorable and the whole country does not take itself seriously (so refreshing compared to so many of our other countries). That gives it LOTS if bonus points in my opinion.
Brussels got a great vibe imo. Takes some time to pick it up though.

My daughter really enjoyed Brussels and wished she had more time there. She's been to Paris and several other European cities, so she has a good basis for comparison.
Take a look at SnapTravel.com and look for Adagio aparthotels there. I've seen some great deals. Just keep in mind that a "double" bed may be very narrow indeed.

try Hôtel Collège de France Paris - 5ème Arrondissement - Site Officiel in the Latin Quarter. You may also look in the Montparnasse area, everything accessible by metro and the prices are lower...and how you spend your vacation is your business.. enjoy
