Budapest or Krakow??

Which do you recommend for 3 days? This is for two 50-year-olds and our 20-yr-old son who's interested in arts & cultures? Thanks, Sue

Krakow is really beautiful. There are some wonderful churches there decorated by artists affiliated with the young Poland movement. The city is quite lovely, and there's even nightlife there that your son might find interesting.

The two cities are both wonderful - and both completely different.
If you just have 3 days, Krakow , being the smaller city, would be more relaxing as you would soon find your way around.

Sue, if you are interested in DaVinci, my favorite painting--Lady with an Ermine--is at the Czartoryskich Museum in Krakow. It is truly beautiful.

i agree that krakow is more doable in three days and very compact, easier to feel that you've seen most of it.
