Boutique Hotel Paris
hi,
I'll come in France next month and I would like to stay in a boutique hotel during one week.
Could you recommend some boutique hotels (the best) in latin quarter if possible with a good value for money ?
Thanks

I stayed at the Hotel de la Sorbonne last May. It's in the Latin Quarter and was lovely. I believe it's part of a chain, google the name and you'll get the site with all the hotels they run in Paris. The location is great, I walked everywhere and there are lots of cafe's around. It's also close to bus and metro stops. You also get a Mac in every room.

I do know Seven hotel. A newly opened hotel, very design and contemporary.
Are you looking for something intimate? There is the Apostrophe hotel http://apostrophe-hotel.com/ in the 6th with a trompe-l'oeil facade on the theme of litterature and writing. I like it very much.

Jade - I can only give you the list of hotels picked out for their 'boutiqueness' or some other unusual trait from the book "Style City - PARIS" - hope it helps:
Hotel du Bourg Tibourg, 19 rue du Bourg-Tibourg.(In the heart of the Marais)
Described as Gothic Revival Revisited, with a crushed velvet lined elevator, striped silk-lined walls, and dramatic embellishment packed into this 31 roomed hotel - previously known as the Rivoli Notre Dame.
Perishing Hall, 49 rue Pierre-Charron, 8arr.
Named after the American General John Joseph Persishing who stayed in this Second Empire mansion during the first world war.
In this his 26 roomed hotel guests enter through a dramatic entrance "tunnel" with lighting that changes colour every 8 minutes.
Contrasting with the subltety of the furnished spaces is a lush courtyard garden with a 34metre-high wall hyng with cascades of greenery that twinkle magically at night with hundreds of tiny lights.
L'Hotel, 13 rue des Beaux-Arts, 6arr.
Described as The Quintessence of Romance - Dramatic, luxurious, historic and with a fabulous location in the heart of St-Germain-des-Pres.
Hotel Duc de Saint-Simon, 14 rue de St-Simon.
Through a stone archway, a quiet little patio garden leads into a treasure chest of Regency decoration inside the discreet Hotel.

Our favorite right on St. Germain. Nice people, great breakfast, and a fantastic location.
My only advise is to upgrade a notch or two as the lowest priced rooms overlook nothing.

I like the Bellechasse...quirky interior that I really love and the staff is truly charming. Very close to the D'Orsay and convenient to the Metro. Easy and enjoyable walk to lots of restaurants and bars in the evening.

We stayed at Hotel Sainte Beuve, near Luxembourg Gardens. I was concerned that the location was too far, but we loved the neighborhood (away from the tour buses). The staff is wonderful. I would updgrade to a street view.

My husband and I like the Hotel D'aubusson. It is in the Saint Germain area, and very close to many of the sights you want to see such as the Louvre , the D'orsay, and Notre Dame. The staff is wonderful and they usually offer packages that may include their delicious breakfasts, a boat ride on the seine, a concert at Saint Chapelle, and a free pickup at the airport. I hope this helps.
