Bled to venice by train - which is the fastest route?
Ok, 30 minute to levae for Dulles arpt. Time for a last quesstion.
We will be in Bled, Slovenia for two days. We than plan to go to Venice by train. It appears there are several ways - one via Ljubljana, one via Jesenice-Villach-Venice, and a third via Nova Gorica-surface transit-etc.
It appears Jesenice-Villach-Venice is the best option. Do you agree? How does one get to Jesenice from Bled? Is it possible to get direct to Vilach from Bled economically by bus/taxi?
Thanks
Huntley

Ok, 30 minutes to leave for Dulles arpt, on our 7-city, 6-country, five-currency, four-???, three-person, two/too hectic, one-of-a-kind odyssey! Time for one more question!

For exact schedules for your date go to the www.bahn.de web site which is the best i've seen for trains in all of Europe - the above is one connection.
Hint- since you have little time here's a quick way to navigate the bahn.de site and get the English schedule page where you just put in Bled and Venice and the date and you'll get all the trains: go to the home page of www.budgeteuropetravel.com and on it click on the lin All European Railway Schedules or some such nomenclature and up pops the English language schedule page - the home page referenced has several tips on using the bahn.de site as well.
Trains run between Bled and Jesenice for that routing as you'll see on the bahn.de site.
Happy Travels!
