B&B or inexpensive hotel ideas in knightbridge, london?

Hi all,

We will have a two night layover in London in early Oct. on our way back from Africa to the US. I really want to stay in Knightsbridge near the Tube and Harrods, and do not care about fancy digs as much as clean and maybe breakfast. Any ideas. One B&B site I looked at on the internet has a couple of places listed that would fit the bill but requires a 3 night stay and will not guarantee where you are staying.

Thanks.

Jim

What is your budget? Knightsbridge is not a cheap part of town . . . .

Yes, I know Knightsbridge can be expensive. But by staying at a B&B I was hoping to keep the cost to 75 pounds per night or thereabouts.

Do you mean £75 double or per person?? I assume you mean double - and that is only £37.50 pp. That isn't much in areas like Knightsbridge, Mayfair etc. Knightsbridge B&Bs tend to be pretty upmarket/posh

Hopefully someone can help you - any B&B I know of in Knightsbridge will be more than twice that much.

If it were me, I'd use Priceline and get a 4 star hotel for around $100.

Have to concur about Knightsbridge area being expensive. You might want to spread yourself out to the South Kensington/Gloucester Road areas, although even there, you might be hard put to find something in your price range. South Ken is pretty easy walking to Harrods, one very short stop on from Knightsbridge. Gloucester Rd. is a little futher to walk but only two stops from Knightsbridge. Both are on Piccadilly line (dark blue)
