Bath Hotels

Driving out of London to Bath for stop over of probably two days. Can you recommend a nice 4-5 star hotel.

try www.heritage-hotels.co.uk
as well as www.http://www.hotelinformation.com/html/england/bath/francis/

both will give you info on the Francis Hotel (a member of the MacDonald group of Hotels)
I will be staying there this summer after having read favorable reviews on this board. It has a car park and is with walking distance of virtually anything in Bath.
(Though I think it is classified as a three star hotel, not a four or five, but I thought I'd add my two cents anyhow!)

Good Luck!

I would highly recommend the Queensbury Hotel. It is very nice (I guess 4 stars, but don't know the official listing), and within walking distance of everything. Also has a great restaurant. Very classy place.

THE hotel in Bath is the Royal Crescent (5*). It is elegant and architecturally important/famous.

The Queensbury IS very nice with a good restaurant but it's 3*. The Royal Crescent is in another league.

Another very nice consideration is the Bath Spa hotel. Just a notch under the Royal Crescent. Very nice grounds and good hotel dining, friendly service.
