OK..here are the pix and I'll post them here...so that they can be found under my TR's, too. What's a five year delay between Fodor friends???

I've gone to the World Waterways link above in one of your posts and the page is "not available". Have they gone out of business or...??? I've been looking for a barge trip like this and hoping to find some information on it.
Fantastic report and very useful info.
Thank you!

Had to stop at the barge to go to class. Back tomorrow to finish this TR and shops! Good job, tower.

Artlover: Sorry to hear that..my trip was in 2006. Strasbourg seems to be a good starting point for barge trips and Alsace wine country surrounds it. Suggest you go to Barge Trips on Google and see what's available. I know that the Seine out of Paris, the Rhone out of Beaune/Lyon, Midi Canal and Bordeaux seem to be most popular French barge starting points. stu

ArtLover and TDudette...thank you for your kind remarks..happy you enjoyed the TR (I rarely do TR's). Enjoy the pics..they tell all abot the trip. Make sure you take one with bikes on board...such fun riding down the towpaths.

artlover: May have found an alternative for the Waterwways itinerary, in the LA Times this Sunday:

www.croisieurope.com or www.croisieurooperivercruises.com
