Bad News

It was announced today that Bank of America is buying MBNA which means that any credit cards MBNA issues that they have not added the near criminal 3% conversion fee will soon have it so good bye MBNA as a good guy bank!

MBNA was already slowly adding the fees to almost all of its cards (they are doing it in phases). I guess I'd better look into Capital One, sigh.

"I share your pain" xyz123. Heard this horrible news this morning and was going to post it, but then saw you had already done so. We've had both an MBNA Visa and Mastercard since the 1980s and always took them with us to Europe or elsewhere when traveling. And another good deal for the consumer hits the dust!!

Good News: KRB (MBNA stock) is up 25% today. Wish my position were bigger.
