Availability and brands of pull-up diapers in Spain
We'll be travelling soon to Spain and I was wondering whether I'll be able to easily find pull-up diapers in Spain. Does anyone know whether they sell pull-up diapers there and, if so, what are they called and what are the brands? I know diapers are pañales, but do they have this specific type?
Thanks!

Yes, Daniele, you will find mostly every modern convenience in Spain that is available in the U.S. although sometimes not as many varities, flavours, colours, etc.
After all, who really needs "caffeine free, sugar free, low carb, cherry flavoured cola" when they are traveling to a foreign country ?

Olga, in Daniele's defense, toddler-sized pullups are a rather recent American invention and it's entirely possible that Europeans don't use them, prefering instead to potty train their children earlier. Daniele, I am actually packing my daughter's pullups for our upcoming trip to Italy. She only uses one a day at night and I figure the empty space in her suitcase on the return will easily be filled with souveniers.

Europeans certainly do use pull-ups as there are loads of brands available in my local supermarket.
We recently came back from Spain with our 1 year old who is not using pull-ups yet, but had no problems finding nappies in the local supermarkets.
Brand names we saw the most of were Huggies and Pampers. Our local supermarket sold a huge range and I would be sure there would be pull-ups.

Thanks for the replies. I also found at another website on babies in Spain that they do have Huggies pull-up diapers there.
I live in Brazil and pull-up diapers are unheard of here. I brought some from the States to my oldest daughter when she was about 2, but I haven't been to the States in a while and can't find them here (well, maybe I could for extremely high prices). Anyway, my idea was exactly to save some space in our bags and I'm glad I'll be able to find them there!

check out www.elcorteingles.es for brand names availabe in supermarket of many items.
no need to register .. just put in a 5 digit zip code..if yours doesnt work, invent one beginning with 46...
then when on home page, follow numbers 1,2,3 to choose section, and articles. it is all in spanish, but gives you great idea on normal prices here for everything.. perfumes, food, etc.
have fun!

Thanks! The El Corte ingles website was a wonderful tip! I was able not only to find the kind of products I was looking for, but also to get familiar with the names and price range! I speak some Spanish, so there was no language barrier for browsing on this website!
