Well after 2 years of reading researching and planning we will be off on our next adventure.

Of course our trip planning has been ably assisted by many helpful Fodorites through your own trip reports, questions and answers. I humbly thank you all.

Just a brief summary of our travels:

Flying Sydney to Frankfurt -( ugh 23 hours of flying)
3 nights Riquewihr Alsace
2 nights Strasbourg
4 nights Paris - (purely for my Paris fix)
4 nights Cinque Terre
7 nights Montepulciano
3 nights San Gimignano
3 nights Florence
4 nights Bologna
3 nights Venice
4 nights London

All stays are in small B&B, apartments, villas, agriturisimos etc. They sound wonderful and my emails with the owners have been fun and positive.

Sooo here we come and you can't wipe the smile off my face.......2 days to go and counting.

I understand about yourParis fix--we HAD to end our June France/Italy trip with three days there (and were soooo glad we did)

I'm so envious! That sounds like a wonderful trip. I completely understand about the Paris addiction. I'm desperate to get back there but it will be a while unfortunately.

Its late and I haven't finished packing the suitcase!!!

But once I'm on the plane all will be good, because I will be "on my way".
