We will be in Milan next August and I think I read somewhere on these postings that it was important to get reservations early to see The Last Supper. So far I have been unable to find a place on the web to make those reservations. Can someone help?

This is the latest information I have, from the New York Times
As of spring 1999, if you want to see da Vinci's Last Supper in Milan, a reservation is required. Groups of 25 are admitted at 15-minute intervals. Admission is $6.50 plus a 1$ booking fee and can be reserved from 8am to 8pm at 39 02 89 42 11 46.
In 1997 Last Supper was closed on Mondays. Assume it still is. We tried to go then, couldn't get in, and returned on Tuesday to find lines blocks long. Stood in one about 20 mintutes and it never moved. No one seemed to know anything. Never saw it.

When we tried unsuccessfully to see it in June, we were told that tickets were reserved for about 2 months in advance. Not sure if that is accurate, but it gives you some idea on how popular it is.

We also read a post re: reservations. We faxed the concierge at our hotel and it was taken care of. When we arrived at the church, there were many disappointed people who had been waiting in line. Because they had not reserved, they were not admitted. You really shouldn't miss this opportunity, it was a wonderful experience.
I also would like to recommend our hotel, The Hotel DeVille. It was almost across the street from the Duomo and the Galleria, in the heart of everything. The staff was friendly and helpful and there were good restaurants nearby.
Leslie
