Do you just want to see the sun at midnight or make a trip out of it?

If you just want to see the sun, you can go to North Cape (Nordcap) of Norway, or further north to Spitzbergen, at the right time.

If you want more, check out <http://www.scantours.com/arctic_adve...cruise.htm> or google Spitzbergen.

You can also fly to Spitzbergen.
Spitzbergen might be an odd place to go. I visited Nome before. It is not quite past the Arctic Circle. I don't think you will feel any different once you cross the line. When I cross the Prime Meridian at Greenwich, I did not feel any fluttering of my heart.
We are traveling with Lindblad to Svalbard Island (North of Norway and still Norwegan!) It is in the Arctic Circle and one can see midnight suns, polar bears, walrus, whales, etc.

In Norway you have lots of options if you wan't to se the midnight sun. If you stay somewhere north of the Artic Circle you are guaranteed to se the midnight sun. A stay in the city of Tromso is very nice. It is midnight sun from the May 21st to July 21th. There is a lot of places to visit, like the Polar Museum, the northern light obsrvatory. http://www.destinasjontromso.no/
A very popular travel in Norway is the Norwegian Coastal Voyage. It is a fantastic cruise along the norwegian coast all the way from Bergen to Kirkenes: http://www.hurtigruten.com/uk/

By the way, most of Europe from France to the North is light until at least 10PM from mid June to August. You really will see almost 24 light hours that time of year in Scandinavia! Bring your eye masks to sleep in the dark!
