Dear Erin,

Stayed there for three nights in September. Wonderful place, right in town, quiet. The manager was very friendly and most employees spoke excellent English - a benefit as my French proficiency is in its infancy.

All rooms are a little different, the bathroom we had was the nicest of the trip.

One tip - don't eat at the restaurant affiliated with the hotel. The restaurant previously was operated by the hotel, but is no longer. The meal there was overpriced and disappointing.

Susan

(Sorry about the e-mail address. Shhh, I'm at work....)

Erin--
I've likewise been to Beaune and stayed at Hotel Le Cep. We enjoyed the old town very much, and as you have been told already, the hotel is nice. It's in a wonderful location right in the middle of the old town, just down from the Hotel Dieu.

Erin,

I don't know when you are going to Beaune, but I booked Le Cep a year in advance and still had to switch my desired dates because they were full. (Le Cep handles some bicycling tour groups, among others). So, I would suggest moving beyond looking and into booking!

Have a good trip.

john

Exactly what Susan (ssss) said. Stayed at Le Cep. Loved the hotel and staff. Didn't like the overpriced, stuffy restaurant.

Beune has plenty of other restaurants in the town that are worthwhile, and the hotel can also help you find one.

This is a great little town. Highly recommend.
