Any great places to buy lladro?

We'll be looking for lladro while in spain this month. does anyone have a special store or ideas on where to find the best selection? we'll be in Barcelona at the end of the trip so that is ideally where I'd like to buy it. thx

What utterly awful taste you have.

Lladro is revolting, the height of naff, the height of all that can possibly be bad in the style stakes. If I had my way every single piece would be smashed into smithereens.

Hi cm,

When you consider the exchange rate and the cost of shipping, it is unlikely that you can get what you want for less than what it costs at home.

mkingdom2--That wasn't the question. What a nasty attitude you have.

Madison, I've been floating around here, with the odd few late evening postings, however, am rather busy with things at the moment, don't worry I haven't vanished!

Lladro isn't even cheap - vile and expensive, all in the worst possible taste.

Lladros are made in Valencia, on the east coast of Spain. You can tour the factory, and buy pieces there at the factory. I'm not sure what the prices were like, because I bought "irregulars" - for the collector, this would be a concern, but I saw no difference whatsoever and was able to buy three on a college student's meager savings.

Forgot to mention - I carried them on the plane in a shopping bag, so didn't have to ship them either. But I know they did offer shipping.

thanks to all for the helpful replies - as this turns out, its a favor for my son's spanish teacher who spent time studying there and is looking for a particular piece. taste is an individual province but I suspect that m Kingdom's is all in his or her mouth.
