It is very unlikely that you will be able to do both in the time available to you.

See http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
for train schedules.

actually, I was wrong! The correct question to the answer "42" is "Which vaparetto do I take to get to Murano"!

Plan well but allow for serendipity. The best travel memories are rarely "planned" but enjoyed when you appreciate being wherever you are whenever you are there.

42 is, according to the late Douglas Adams of "Hitchhiker" fame, the meaning of the universe.

Always look for the little British flag.

It is an abbreviation for "please".

Because they are much louder than anyone else.

You have to lift the little lever once the train stops.

You can't see very much from the river.

Assume that flash photography is not permitted.

Use the shell to pluck the meat from the other shell, they don't use tiny forks.

It was mostly whipped cream.

"No, you do not have to absolutely love Paris to remain a member of Fodor's."

- But most of the ladies of a certain age anticipating with fluttering breast and eyelids a "romantic" getaway (like a second marriage, a victory of hope over experience) will loathe you. Girls, the odds are against it happening in any arrondissement. And even if it does, you'll soon be back in Boise.

"You can get an "All-Europe" phone and SIM from mobalrent.com, and you can get SIMs from Ri i ing.com"

- Actually, I can't, although it would appear that Americans can. The denizens of other countries do drop in on this site now and again.

Wear whatever you like - the "Europeans" (whoever "they" are) will not care a jot nor a fig, you will still look like an American tourist - but that's OK.

It all works just fine if you insert your key card into the slot by the door.
