Another Vatican dress code question.

Can I wear dresses that are just above the knees? It's been 10 yeears since i've been to the Vatican and I can't remember. I've found ambiguous information on different websites. Thanks!

You may be lucky or you may not - it depends on whoever is on duty enforcing the rule. Either wear a dress that covers the knees or carry a sarong etc that you can put on when needed.

You get different info because what you are asking is a borderline case. Here is the rule: http://saintpetersbasilica.org/Pics/...essCode-JG.jpg. For a cases between what is permitted and what is not depends on who is enforcing. Jennifer Aniston got away with a dress closer to the top diagram, but others would unlikely to get away with it.

It is not like you showed up at the Vatican and suddenly find out the dress code.

I would say don't risk it, from the experience of my holiday companion who was turned away wearing just what you describe.
