Andalusia White Villages

My wife and I are visiting Seville at the end of May, beginning of June, and have allowed 5 days for visiting the White Villages. We are looking for suggestions for a round trip itinerary that would begin and end in Seville and also take in Granada. We probably don't have enough time to visit all the White Villages that sound interesting, for instance we would like to see both Arcos de la Frontera and Ronda and realize they are in opposite directions, but any and all suggestions would be appreciated, along with must-see sites, places to stay, eat and so on. We will be traveling by rental car.

Minority Opinion

I think a tour of los pueblos blancos is over rated. If in that five days you are including Malaga, Cordoba, and Granada, then it is fine otherwise I think you find a sameness after a while but I do recommend Ronda.

I second the recommendation for Ronda.

You can pass through Arcos on the way to Ronda--the bus went that way. I'd stay in Ronda a couple nights, as you can explore the region and return to Ronda for the fabulous sunsets. Then I'd stop in Antequera on the way to Granada.

I thought Ronda was especially interesting because of its geology and its history.

White villages (Ubrique, el Bosque, Benamahoma...)look the same one another. Grazalema and Zahara stand out. If you drive from Seville you indeed reach the road midway Arcos to Ronda, unless you drive Seville to Jerez, and then Arcos. I wrote a trip suggestion you can find here as "Pueblos Blancos Trip"

I agree with aduchamp. But that's there is so much to see and do in places like Seville, Granada and Malaga, Cordoba and Cadiz. If you see Ronda, Grazalema and zahara I think that's enough.

Zahara is on the way to Ronda. It's worth a visit.

Thank you every one who replied. We will digest all of that, check our maps, and I'm sure have more questions.
