Access blocked?

For about the last 3 weeks, when I try to view this discussion board, everything will appear except the actual discussion headings, so I can't access the posts. This has happened both on my computer at work (I have no reason to believe the IT guys would block my access on purpose) and also at a computer at a friend's house. Any ideas on what is up and how to fix it? THanks!

About to reveal total ignorance: how do I make sure that the cookies are enabled? (Fortunately, I do know what they are....)

I'm inept on the computer but some virtual friend guided me to tools, internet options, and click the security tab and you'll see what you have enabled. Otherwise you type in fodors.com and click allow. I hope it helps you as it did me, Heather.

Make sure you click on sugar cookies and gingersnap cookies. Then click on "with milk" when that option pops up. Leave "with ice cream" unchecked since that is an advanced function that your computer might not support.

Wow, it's getting deep in here. Reading this makes me want to toss my cookies, not click them away.

Oh Patrick, you are just being jealous!
Stop being a grouch and get into the cookie mood!
If you want to be helpful, you can post on my thread on the US boards...I am being pathetic over there.

Heather, I had that problem for a second time tonight but on the BJParis forum. They said I had no cookies. How could that be when I'm a regular member. It's something that's doing it that I can't explain.

How dare they say "you have no cookies". There is a terrific new bra at VS that will make them eat their words!

Well, I have now tried adjusting every control in Internet Options separately and in every conceivable combination, and I still cannot access the posts at work! Other computers in my building can, and I don't know what else to try. ANY more suggestions?

If you have a firewall, you may also need to check to see if it has an option to restrict or control cookies. I have ZoneAlarm on my computer at home, and on some sites I have to change the cookie control options for the site to work.

Firewall? Yes. You need one, especially if you have a cable modem connection. You are vulnerable everytime you turn on your computer because you are constantly on line. I use Zone Alarm also. I hope it keeps some of the "casual" hackers out. I keep my IE Privacy Cookies at "Medium."
