Two swinging singles

Not really, but we are two single men in our 30's, looking for a week off from work. Thought about doing a cruise out of Tampa, since it is close to home. Here is my question,We don't really care where we go, what we do care about is the atmosphere on the two ships and the food. The two ships we have to choose from is the Celebrity Zenith and Carnival Sensation. Are there I have been on the carnivals ships before so I know what to expect on them. On celebrity are there singles or is it more couples? What age group? Would it be two

My best friend and I (two single women, 32 and 29) are leaving Friday for a cruise on the Celebrity Horizon -- we're not too worried if we are the only single women on the ship, it's a vacation and besides, there will be plenty to do in port.

my parents (early 50's) just went on the Celebrity Zenith last week. They LOVED it, said the food was out of this world. They did think that the boat had more baby boomers (50's/60's) on it than anything. If you want a party scene, Carnival is it. If you want great food go Celebrity.

Thanks for your comments, Its not that we are party animals, but we are both very social, and would like other singles to socialized with. Couples tend to get with couples. I want to make friends, dance and have a good time. If you have been on this ship please respond if there were singles. Part of the fun of a cruise for me is meeting people. Thanks again for any comments!

You don't say WHEN you will be crusing-
March is Spring Break month for most colleges-- Carnival would be my 1st choice for a "party scene" of younger people.....

However, we went on Celebrity Millennium over Thanksgiving with some young single relatives (ages 24 and 28 -female) and they hooked up with 2 really nice single guys in the Disco...So if you go Celebrity, head for the DISCO! Celebrity does have the better food!

We have just returned from a Western Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Century ship, and although there may have been some singles on board the majority were couples. We have gone Celebrity before and I think your chances for meeting up with single females and people in genral your age, are better on the Carnival line. From what I have heard not all Carnival ships are crazy party ships, some are a little bit low key. I'm sure you will have a great time which ever you choose.

Hi John,

I have sailed the Sensation twice. According to my count the passenger ratio is about equal with not too many youngsters since Tampa is a senior citizen area. It is the same for "fun" as the other Carnival ships. I found the crew camaradarie to be the best of all Carnival ships (I have been on all except the Pride).

The Zenith will have the most seniors on board. If you wish Celebrity, cruise their mega ships, but they do not cruise out of Tampa.
So do not cruise Celebrity out of Tampa unless you wish to go to bed every night at 11 PM.

Paul

John,
Is there a reason you are not considering one of the numerous singles cruises? They're a blast if dancing all nite and meeting lots of people is your thing. My email address list is full of people I've met on my 4 singles cruises not to mention the world travel I've done with different singles travel groups.
