PERCY-NEED YOUR HELP

Percy.. one good turn deserves another...Michael has just written me asking about guides for Venice, Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos and Athens. We have never done these ports and if you have any ideas or have used anybody please write me.. He is traveling with his wife and two little kids...

Hi Parrotmom:

Yes of course anything for Michael in Barcelona.

In Mykonos he does NOT need a guide.

Just take the bus as soon as you get off the cruise ship ...there are many of them around.
Mykonos is about a mile down the road.

Mykonos is best seen by walking, tell him to walk up to the five windmills and to see "Little Venice"...from one place you can see the other.

In Athens:

Tell him to e-mail Dennis Kokkotos at
[email protected]

Dennis picked us up in one of those stretch Limos !! Wow, what a treat.

They will see the Acropolis ,downtown Athens, the Plaka (shopping area) and a few more famous lookout points, they will have a full day.

For Rhodes and Santorini, they might not need a guide but here is who he can get a hold of:

Judy Likouris at

[email protected]

In Venice:

Darn it I just cannot find the guides name,BUT...

He and the family can do St.Mark's Square, then in St.Marks Square they can see the Basilica, then Doge's Place (for sure) and then pay (about 4 euros ) to go to the top of the Campanile(tower)...these are all in St.Mark's Square....this will take some time.

Then he can take the family for the famous Gondola (water taxi) ride. This cost about 75 euros for the 4 of them.

You cannot go to Venice and not do the Gondola ride.!!!

Tell Michael Hi for me

Take Care
Percy

Forgive me for highjacking this thread but may I also use this information? Also, we are thinking of doing the Orient Queen because it is the best price for the Islands. Are you familiar with her?

Sorry I do not know about the Orient Queen.

Parrotmom:

I have never been to Morocco, but maybe on my next Mediterranean Cruise, as I would want to pick out as many other ports ( that I have not seen) as I can.

No use going to Rome and Naples and Florence again.

Take Care
Percy

Have no idea where I posted the Canary Islands, but I'm hearing from an American woman who went to Brandeis who is in Barcelona and specializes in modern art and she has given me so much info.. plus sheis a guide..
