Interesting, because we are TRYING to do business with RCCL
and I find their attitude rather "snotty".. Whereas we have used NCL Majesty and the Sky and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have had to deal at one point with the Florida office and found them quite understanding..Maybe RCCL is getting too big for their britches and doesn't need our business.

I've sailed both NCL (SKY) and RCCL (Rhapsody) and would gladly sail both lines in the future. I had absolutely NO problems with either line. Each had their strenghts (NCL -Food and Entertainment)(RCCL - Cabins -ship). Don't sell NCL short, especially their newer ships.

Hi RJ
Just returned after sailing on RCCL Adventure of the Seas. Try it you won't be disappointed! This was our 4th RC cruise and we have also sailed on two NCL ships. Never had a problem with either cruise line. Thought the service and amenities on RC were superior to NCL. As stated previous, it is difficult to help someone choose when you know nothing about them.
Good luck.

I am thinking of sailing on NCL to the western caribbean. It would be helpful is anyone who did or did not have a good experience would explained WHY they didn't like it. Your pet peeves may not be mine and what bothers you may not bother me. Thanks!

I've had good recent experiences with NCL Sky & Star within the past year. I would suggest sticking to one of their newer ships. I prefer Sky or sister ship Sun. Haven't sailed RCCL recently - we stopped sailing them a while ago as we found their food and service to be mediocre after 2 cruises, but perhaps things have changed since then. People seem to rave about RCCL. My favorite lines are still Princess and Celebrity - I think they are best overall.

I've decided they are all good! I've only cruised Carnival, NCL and (just last week) RC. If I HAD to put them in order for best food it would be RC, Carnival and NCL, but all were definately very close!
And what's with Princess? There is a lot of 'past' cruise talk on a cruise and I heard more complaints about Princess than any other cruise line.

I have never posted here but read all the time having sailed on both ships I can tell you that they are totally different. The Sun has the Freestyle dining which I did not like. I found the service and food in main dining rooms to be lacking and paid the $10.00 per person cover to eat in the alternate dining room most nights. I also much preferred the Adventures itinerary. The Sun is great if you are looking for snorkeling or scuba it is first rate, but other excursions and day trips are hours away and not as enjoyable as they could be. Over all I would say I had a better time on the Adventure, but it totally depends on what you are looking for.
