I have never heard of a ship or a cruise line with that name. Also if any cruise line is sailing the Red sea at the present time and visiting Egypt, Isreal, Saudi Arabia and Yemen must have a death wish.

Possibly you live in the area and are used to dodging bullets.

Paul

Faina:

I actually made a reservation for that cruise, but cancelled as soon as I found out about the cargo!

Paul: You're probably not following the news. Faina's message was full of sarcasm: Karine-A was a ship recently seized/caught by Israel's Navy SEALS as it was illegally carrying weapons to Yassir Arafat's Palestinian Authority.
Hi Sandy,

At first I was frightened that someone was even considering a cruise on the Red Sea. I imagined crusing with battleships, destroyers and aircraft carriers and being borded by authorities every hour or so.

I do not have to search for cruise lines or cruise ships I have been studying them for years. I doubt the Karine-A is a cruise ship. I would guess a freighter.

Paul

Eugene & Vic,

Why are you coming down on me. I just stated it must be a freighter and just because I missed the newspaper account of the boat does not mean I should be reprimanded.

I am also surpised at you Vic, I thought you were a nice guy.

Paul
