Your chances of getting upgraded from an interior cabin to an ocean view are about the same as winning the lottery.

You won't get such an upgrade. If you get upgraded, it will be to a higher floor, but still an interior cabin.

If you want an ocean view, open your pocketbook and pay some more cash.

we just returned from a Voyager trip. We like inside cabins- I'd rather cruise twice a year than pay extra when we never spend time in cabin. You'll find this subject discussed here! The cabin was larger than the on4s on the Grandeur. Very nice. Had a small sofa and table. 2 beds together to form a queen. Nice shower stall in bathroom. Room safe and hairdryer. Our room was in excellent shape, as well.

Thanks Linda!! Glad to hear from someone who stayed in an inside cabin. I'd say why pay the extra $300-400 dollars more. We said we could use that extra money for tours, souvenirs, etc.. Wasn't sure if you'd feel clostophoebic, in the inside cabin for 7 days?

I don't know about that particular line but were upgraded from an inside cabin to an outside mini-suite on Holland America. The catch was that we had to go a couple weeks earlier than we had booked. It was Thanksgiving and they must've been awfully busy. We got a bit of a discount on top of it.
